Raw blanched peanuts are as above but with skin taken off and removed.

The peanuts undergo a process to remove the skin in which they are run through a roaster at a low temperature which acts as a drying process to loosen the skin and make it come away from then peanut. They then travel over abrasive rollers and large extraction fans to remove the skin which is also called husk.

Uses for Blanched peanuts include: be fried, then flavoured or salted. They can also be roasted and used for peanut butter, mixed nuts, chocolate, muesli bars and baking.
